Evangelism, Missions, and Outreach

We believe the mission of the Church is the Great Commission! And for that reason we make it our aim to regularly evangelize as a Church, support and volunteer at local missions, host outreach events, and go on short term mission trips to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Impact the City Reach the City

We divide our outreach and evangelism into two categories: IMPACT the City and REACH the City. Our IMPACT events and outreaches deal primarily in meeting needs of those in our city whether it be our annual backpack distribution, our annual coat drive, or serving at missions like The Bowery Mission. We want to IMPACT our city by meeting real needs. REACH events are focused on evangelism – sharing the Gospel. This includes our monthly Church evangelism and visitation.

Our Ministries

  • Prayer Meeting

On Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM we gather for a weekly prayer meeting where we pray for the Church, the needs of the members, our community, the nation, and the world. We also have a short devotional time where we reflect on Sunday’s sermon and study doctrine.

  • Small Group

Small Group meets at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings. Here we go through various topics and bible studies. Small group emphasizes community, discussion, question and answer, and bible study. We also have coffee and a light breakfast.

  • Youth Challenge

Youth Challenge is for students in Junior High and High School and meets every other Friday at 7:30 PM during the school year.

  • MTA

During the school year we have MTA (Metropolitan Toddler Association) at Peter O’Rourke Park every Tuesday from 10-11:30 AM. This is a hangout for mom’s in our community and at our Church. We bring food and coffee to the park for anyone to have.

  • Men's and Women's Breakfast

We have breakfast get togethers for men and for women that meet on Saturdays for food, fellowship, and usually a guest speaker.

  • There is a Lot More to MBC

MBC has many more ministries including children’s ministry, nursery, OCC, Missions Commission, Woven Hearts, and so much more. If you have questions about our ministries please send us an email or call the offices.
